White Shadow is looking for Vetrelli but is intercepted by one of his thugs. She scoffs as the thug postures. He's insistent so she toys with him for a bit, landing blows and knocking him around. Although clearly in pain, he laughs at her as she pummels him. Just when it seems he can't survive any longer, he displays a remote, controlling a force-field nullifying her power crystal, and rendering her normal. Her cockiness quickly fades, turning into concern, worry, and finally desperation, as the thug dismantles her physically. Her ego is bruised as she crawls on the ground, unable to get up. The fun is just beginning though, as the thug has a bucket of acid ready for White Shadow; the appropriate lesson for an over-confident, arrogant superheroine.
