A little less than two years ago, Elder Rex was facing a disciplinary council bent on sending him down the priesthood stretcher. But why? Elder Rex had been getting himself in trouble since the MTC. As a greenie, he responded to the advances of a neighbor, and after sneaking out at night, ended up in the neighbors bed. But his companion was up waiting for him when he got home … with a boner! … so the two went at it. A few days later the lucky neighbor was blessed to have two young missionary boys in his bed. This went on for several weeks, conducting service projects for their neighbor … on their neighbor … until the mission president paid their area a surprise visit, and stayed up all night in their apartment waiting for them to come home. Rex’s senior companion was emergency transferred out of the area, and spent his last 3 months in the home of the area authority president. Rex on the other hand, was quickly “called” into the order. The brethren even ordained him to the higher priesthood and sent him back into the mission field with a special directive to recruit his companions if they seemed receptive. Elder Rex was also instructed to not engage in ordination practices without explicit permission from the Order. But Elder Rex was sent right back to his old area; and guess who was still his neighbor?! As soon as the neighbor crossed paths with Elder Rex, he of course wanted to know when he could expect to hear the 2nd discussion.
